📈 Gloucester is the 127th best place to live in the country, according to analysis of 294 local authority areas. 💔 More than £30,000 has been fundraised in a matter of hours in memory of the Gloucester family killed in the Air India disaster. The money will be used to create a fund for families attending Al-Ashraf School, where four-year-old Sara Nanabawa was a pupil. - BBC Gloucestershire

🎖️ The interim Chief Constable at Gloucestershire police, Maggie Blyth, has been awarded a King’s Police Medal in the Birthday Honours. She was recognised for her work in tackling violence against women and girls. - BBC Gloucestershire
🏺 More than 6,000 boxes full of artefacts from the Museum of Gloucester’s collection are being sorted through in a new Discovery Centre opened in Eastgate Shopping Centre. It’s to help open up the city’s heritage further to the public. - BBC Gloucestershire

🟡 The story of Gloucester’s Canary Girls, who risked their lives to provide ammunition for the frontline during the two world wars, will be told through new information boards being installed in Quedgeley.
