👩🏫 The headteacher who will lead two merged primary schools has been appointed. Rebekah Millward, acting headteacher at Robinswood Primary Academy, will take the helm when nearby Moat Primary closes and amalgamates. - Gloucestershire Live

❌ Barton Street shop Too Late Mini Mart has been shut down again under a closure order for selling illegal tobacco. It was closed by authorities earlier in the year but has been shut again for three months after returning to illegal practices. - Gloucestershire Live

⚖️ Drink driver Artur Mieszczak has been jailed for four years after a crash in Witcombe which killed one of his passengers and seriously injured another. He’s been banned from driving for seven years. - BBC Gloucestershire
💰 Proposals for the devolution of local government in Gloucestershire will cost the county’s taxpayers £3.6million this year. A joint letter to the Secretary of State from the county’s seven councils will set out an interim plan and seek government cash to cover the ‘burden’. - Punchline Gloucester
💙 Two senior NHS bosses in Gloucestershire were handed flowers and thanked for their service before moving on. Mary Hutton and Ellen Rule, the chief executive officer and deputy at NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board are stepping into retirement and a new role elsewhere respectively, and gave their final updates to a council meeting this week. - Gloucestershire Live
🚒 The impact on wellbeing of planned changes to firefighters’ shift patterns has been laid out to councillor. The county’s fire and rescue service is set to undergo a move to 8am-7pm day shifts from 9am-6pm. More than 70 firefighters from across the county have raised concerns that the imposed changes to working hours will increase childcare and caring costs. - Gloucestershire Live, via the Local Democracy Reporting Service
🚉 A grant of almost £30,000 has been given to Gloucester’s SkillZONE which helps teach young people how to make safer decisions in different scenarios. The money has come from Great Western Railway and will help SkillZONE create a new representation of Gloucester Railway Station at its Tuffley site. - Rail Advent
↪️ Grant funding of £7,500 has also been given to Gloucester-based Wiggly Worm whose kitchens help support adults who have disadvantage. The funding is one example of several from the county council’s Thriving Communities Grant. - Gloucestershire County Council
🌕 Finally, if you’re up early tomorrow morning you might be able to see a Blood Moon and partial lunar eclipse. They only occur a handful of times per year when some or all of the moon appears to turn red. It will start to be visible at 3.57am, becoming particularly noticeable at 5.09am. - Sky News
