Fresh tower demolition bid | River Island closing | Airport sale worries
Good morning, welcome to Thursday’s Start. It’s a short one today with not a lot out there from the last 24 hours. Have I missed anything? Reply to this email or use the submission form to get in touch. Here’s everything I’ve found for this edition.
⛅ Today’s weather: Overcast and a chance of rain this morning, brightening up later on.

🏗️ A fresh bid to demolish Clapham Court is due to be made soon, with the public invited to input into the plans beforehand. Plans to replace the 11-storey tower block with a mix of new housing were rejected by the city council earlier this year. - Gloucestershire Live
📃 Planning officers have taken the unusual step of not recommending a decision on the £45million proposal to regenerate much of Podsmead. The application goes before councillors next week with much of it ‘finely balanced’, their report says. - Punchline Gloucester
✈️ Councillors will decide today whether to recommend the sale of Gloucestershire Airport to a preferred bidder amid fears its ‘considerable development value’ could be cashed in on in years to come. - Gloucestershire Live, via LDRS
