😤 ‘Bickering’ and ‘nastiness’ was called out during a Gloucester City Council budget meeting which went on for more than four hours. The scenes were likened to a playground. - Gloucester News Centre, via the Local Democracy Reporting Service
💰 Gloucestershire County Council is set to approve plans to increase its spending. Its budget, due for approval next week, will rise to almost £650million for 2025/26, up £32million. - Punchline Gloucester
❌ The leaders of Gloucestershire’s second-tier local authorities, including Gloucester City Council, have called on the government to reject a request to delay county council elections due in May. They say there’s been a lack of meaningful discussion about devolution plans. - Gloucester News Centre

🍜 Thai cuisine is coming to Gloucester Food Dock with the latest new arrival announced. Kinn Kinn, an independent business with an existing restaurant in Newport, is opening soon next to Hop Kettle. - Punchline Gloucester
🎟️ Some tickets are still available for the three-day Cajun & Zydeco Festival which starts at Gloucester Guildhall tomorrow. It’s the 31st incarnation of the event which also features musical workshops alongside the live performances. - Gloucester Guildhall
🚫 Deliveries of large bridge structures to the A417 Missing Link site will mean a series of 10-minute road closures next week and the following. Construction workers will use start/stop boards to hold traffic on neighbouring roads. - Gloucestershire Live
👮 Extra police patrols, including on horseback, have continued in Coney Hill after the shooting on Saturday night in which a man in his 40s suffered gunshot wounds and a woman was also hurt. - Gloucester Neighbourhood Policing Team

A BMW was entered in Lancaster Grove, with a tool box and ashtray stolen. It happened about 3am on Tuesday.
The fog lights units were stolen from an Audi A1 while it was parked in The Courtyard, off London Road. It happened between January 18th and 20th.
A burglary was reported at an address in Sinope Street where a wallet was taken at about 5am on Monday.
A garden shed was entered in Albany Street. Tools and a Lazy Spa were taken. It happened overnight on Sunday.
