👮 A suspected drug trafficker fled to the roof of a house raided by police. It was one of a series of similar operations across Gloucestershire and the West Country to crack down on the drugs trade. - Gloucestershire Live
😮💨 Illegal vapes hidden in a secret room in a Gloucester shop have been seized by Trading Standards. An undercover office visited the unnamed shop and discovered a hidden door in a bathroom. The vapes were worth about £4,000. - Gloucester News Centre
☁️ Today’s weather: More overcast than recent days, mild temperatures and a slightly higher chance of rain through the the middle of the day.
🅿️ Changes are coming to two city council-owned car parks. The Eastgate Shopping Centre and King’s Walk sites will switch to pay and display - currently they are pay on foot. Parking enforcement will also be outsourced by the authority. Jointly the plans are set to save £140,000 a year. - Punchline Gloucester
💙 Gloucester Park’s Covid memorial was unveiled on Sunday as part of a National Day of Reflection five years on from the beginning of the pandemic. It features eight trees, each in recognition of a group of key workers, surrounding a plaque. - Gloucester News Centre
👞 Shoe shop AG Meek will close its Eastgate Street store next month, with the government’s Autumn budget ‘the final straw’ according to its owner. The business has had a home in Gloucester since 1965. - Gloucestershire Live
🚨 A woman was left shaken after being assaulted outside the Costa Coffee in Southgate Street by a man who pushed her head into the shop window. Police are looking for witnesses. - Gloucester News Centre
🚒 Issues with workplace culture have substantially improved at Gloucestershire Fire & Rescue Service, an inspection has found. Two of three ‘areas for concern’ have now been removed. - Gloucestershire Live, via the Local Democracy Reporting Service
🥗 Gloucester Food Dock will welcome its newest addition on April 8th in the form of Roots + Seeds. It will offer a seasonal menu including breakfasts, brunches, sandwiches, burgers and pasta. - SoGlos
👩 Pioneering women in science and history were recognised in puppet form in a show at The Folk of Gloucester over the weekend. It was to mark International Women’s Day and was organised by scientist Sarah Snell-Pym. - BBC Gloucestershire
🏉 Young rugby stars from King’s School will run out at Twickenham on Thursday after making it through to the final of a national under-18s competition. They saw off St George’s School, Weybridge, in the semi-final. - Gloucestershire Live
