🖊️ Hundreds of people have backed a petition which calls for an idea to split Gloucestershire into two local authorities - east and west - to be thrown out. The plan was proposed by five of the county’s seven MPs as a possible answer to devolution. - BBC Gloucestershire

🚓 Two men from Gloucester have been arrested after a man died in a crash on the A40 in Cheltenham. The victim, 36, was declared dead at the scene. The two arrested, both in their 30s, were held on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. - Gloucester News Centre
